The following Letter was faxed on March 22, 2000 to Ambassador Nabil Fahmy for delivery to his Excellency President Hosni Mubarak. Petitions were delivered via mail. The signed petitions stated

" Our objective  is very simple. We want to salvage our heritage before its too late. We want our children and grand children to know us better. We want to get back our life-cycle records, our genealogical records, our holy and secular books, our artifacts our Torah scrolls--all the bits and pieces of our lost world that are still accessible."   

A reply from Ambassador Fahmy was received on June 26, 2000, But not from President Hosni Mubarak
