| Mr. Felix Torgeman was born in the city of Tantah Egypt in 1921, attended primary and secondary schools of the Alliance from 1928-1938. Worked at the Eastern company (Matossian in Guizeh Cairo till 1946. Then worked at the Emballage Modern Samuel Menashe and Co. from 1946-1961. Emigrated to the United States in July 1961. Mr. Felix Torgeman at the age of 26, was appointed to be the Baal Kore and the Shohet in the city of Tantah. Since then he has always been a hazan and Baal Kore for the last 60 years. Today he is the official Baal Kore of the Ahava ve Ahba a post he has held since coming to Brooklyn, NY. Mr Felix, also known as Saad in our community is married with 4 sons and two daughters. |
